Our Story

Our Church

Our New Jersey church was planted in June 2017 as a new church plant of Gracepoint Ministries with the vision of planting an Acts 2 church in every college town!

For many of us, college was a momentous and decisive time: Christ’s all-consuming call to discipleship grabbed a hold of our hearts and our lives, and we experienced the richness of a biblical, counter-cultural Christian community. It’s an experience we want to replicate for others – an Acts 2 church in every college town.

William and Esther Kang

East Coast Regional Pastor

Pastor Will and Esther serve as our East Coast Regional Pastor where they oversee all of our east coast churches. They minister to the team leads, the rest of the staff, and the students as well. Though they live in Fairfax, VA. they regularly make it down to Rutgers where they’ll lead retreats, discipleship times, and our Sunday services. If you see them around, be sure to say hi!

Joe & Annie Song

Pastor of Gracepoint New Brunswick

Joe and Annie Song lead Gracepoint New Jersey. Joe made a decision to
follow Christ as a freshman at UC Berkeley when he was amazed to
discover the evidence supporting Christianity and understand the basic
gospel message. After graduating with a degree in biology, he took
the next obvious step of studying law at UC Hastings and practiced law
for 12 years before going into full-time ministry. He is currently in
the Master of Apologetics program at Biola University and is a
chaplain at Rutgers University.

Annie studied political science at UC Berkeley and went to UCSF and
became a nurse practitioner. After practicing for a few years, she
went into full-time ministry. While she still often triages people’s
injuries, she’s focused on spiritual healing and mentorship. She
partners with Joe in ministering to students at Rutgers and raising
their three young daughters.
